In the final match of the 2016-2017 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League Group B play, the Portland Timbers host Costa Rica's Deportivo Saprissa Wednesday at Providence Park (7pm PT, CONCACAF FacebookTICKETS). Here are five numbers to know in a special CCL edition of Quick Strikes.

3 The Timbers will be guaranteed a spot in the CCL quarterfinals if they take all three points against Saprissa. In the MLS era, Portland has won all three of their home games in Champions League competition.

14 When Darlington Nagbe fired in the game-winning goal against C.D. Dragón on Sept. 27 in El Salvador, he became the 14th different Timbers player to score a goal in CCL competition.

21 In seven Champions League games all-time, Portland has scored 21 goals. The three goals per game average is the most among all MLS teams in CCL play.

.8 While Saprissa has had success in international play, the Costa Rican club has mustered eight goals in 10 road games at MLS competition. In addition to a .8 goals per game average, Saprissa has back-to-back losses to MLS teams in the U.S.

2 The match will be second time in Portland's club history that the Timbers have welcomed a Costa Rican team to the Rose City. On May 1, 2010, the Timbers, then playing in USSFD2, fell to Puntarenas 3-1 in a friendly in front of  7,478 fans.
