Early in the match in only the 2nd minute, San Jose Earthquakes forward Steven Lenhart takes a shot from just inside the box but Timbers' goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts makes a great kicksave.
But in the 22nd minute, Ricketts one-upped himself stopping a point blank shot from the Quakes' Chris Wondolowski.
But in the 58th minute, Timbers' Ryan Johnson and Diego Valeri combine for some great back-and-forth in the midfield. Johnson breaks for goal and ball deflects to Valeri's feet who slots it home for a Timbers 1-0 lead.
In the 74th minute, Ricketts again comes up big. San Jose's Sam Garza makes a move for goal. Ricketts comes off his line to gobble up the shot and shutdown Garza.
But in stoppage time, San Jose's Adam Jahn equalizes on a late goal that Ricketts could do nothing on. Game ends with a 1-1 draw and Portland remains unbeaten on the road.
