The Algarve Cup and SheBelieves Cup continued over the weekend and Monday, seeing seven Thorns players in action.

Algarve Cup

Christine Sinclair continued her goal-scoring streak in early 2017 with a second game-winner of the Algarve Cup, notching goal No. 167 as Canada earned a 2-1 win against Russia on Friday, March 3.

On Monday, Sinclair captained Canada to a result against Portugal, booking the team's place in the Algarve Cup championship match for a second straight year.

Hayley Raso earned her second straight start of the Algarve Cup on Friday, March 3, playing all 90 minutes as Australia thwarted a late comeback charge to down the Netherlands 3-2 on Friday. On Monday, Raso came on late as a sub as the Matildas beat China in a come-from-behind, 2-1, win to go atop their group.

She Believes Cup

The race tightened for the SheBelieves Cup on March 4 as Amandine Henry and France played to a scoreless draw against Germany.

In bitterly cold conditions, England edged the United States in the dying moments of the match as Ellen White lifted the Lionesses with a late stoppage-time winner.

Lindsey Horan, who started for the USWNT, Tobin Heath and Allie Long all made appearances in the match, and, per usual, Heath showed off some of her world-class technical abilities for the crowd.

Up next, Australia and Canada wrap up group play at the Algarve Cup, while the United States and France square off in a potential tournament-deciding match in the She Believes Cup on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. (4pm PT, FS1).

U.S. Women's U-23s National Team

Midfielder Celeste Boureille earned a second cap with the U.S. Women's U-23 National Team on Saturday. She came off the bench in a 2-0 loss to England. Also making a sub appearance in that match was 2017 NWSL Draft pick Tyler Lussi. The U.S. U-23s wrap up their series of matches in Spain on Tuesday against Norway.
