Jeremy Ebobisse, U.S. U-20s vs. Panama, 2.18.17

Portland Timbers forward Jeremy Ebobisse has been busy with his time with the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team at the CONCACAF U20 Championships this week playing in each of the team's first two group stage matches.

In the team's first match Saturday against Panama, the Timbers forward played the full 90 in the U.S.' 1-0 loss.

Ebobisse came close twice as he hit the crossbar and had a shot saved at point-blank range late in the match.

On Tuesday afternoon, the U-20 MNT bounced back with a commanding 4-1 win over Haiti. After going down 1-0 in the 15th minute, the Americans scored four unanswered goals–including a hat-trick from Liverpool FC product Brooks Lennon–with Ebobisse contributing a key assist on the team's third goal.

The Americans now sit second in the four-team Group B with the top two teams from each group advancing to the next tournament round of two, three-team groups. The top two of each of those groups will earn qualification to the FIFA U-20 World Cup while the group winner of each will play each other in a final to decide the champion of the CONCACAF U-20 tournament.

The U.S. will close out their Group B play Friday when they play St. Kitts & Nevits (2:30pm PT, UDN, CONCACAF Facebook Live).
