Timbers train and get playing minutes as they take preseason to Arizona

The Timbers left behind the rain for some sun this weekend as they traveled to Phoenix, Ariz. for their next phase of the preseason, presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky.

Along with training sessions, players have been doing interviews and also using the time to connect with each other and build strong team chemistry.

Players also were able to earn some important preseason minutes with a scrimmage friendly against USL Championship side Phoenix Arizona FC.

The Desert Corps – the Arizona outpost of the Timbers Army and Portland fans – was on hand and in fine voice to watch the team play.
