PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers have waived forward Michael Seaton, the club announced today.
Seaton, 20, was acquired by the Timbers from D.C. United on Aug. 6, 2015, and appeared in four USL matches for T2 while with the club, registering one goal in 182 minutes played. In two seasons with D.C. United, Seaton made five MLS regular-season appearances while spending the majority of his time with the club on loan with the Richmond Kickers of USL and Swedish Allsvenskan side Örebro SK.
The Timbers return to league play this weekend, taking on New York City FC on Sunday, May 15; kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. (Pacific) at Providence Park with a national broadcast on FOX Sports 1 and local radio broadcasts on 750 AM/102.9 FM The Game (English) and La GranD 1150 AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
