PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers today announced that the club has waived forward Schillo Tshuma.
Tshuma, 22, has played the majority of 2015 season on loan with USL side T2, appearing in 10 games (6 starts) and recording one assist.
A first-round pick (No. 17 overall) by the Timbers in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft as a Generation adidas player, Tshuma made his Timbers debut on June 17, 2014, in a 2014 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match against Orlando City U-23s, playing the final 10 minutes of a 3-0 win. During the 2014 regular-season, Tshuma appeared in 17 matches (15 starts) on loan with USL side Arizona United SC. He did not make a regular-season appearance for Portland.
