Quick Strikes | Five numbers to know for this weekend's #NYvPOR match

The Portland Timbers head east for the first time this season as they travel to take on the New York Red Bulls Saturday at Red Bull Arena (4pm PT, ROOT SPORTS). Here are five numbers to know for #NYRvPOR in the latest Quick Strikes.

3 In the league's opening weekend, only one MLS player had more shots on target than the three taken by Sebastián Blanco. In his second season with Portland, Blanco has registered three or more shots on goal in a match on five occasions.

225 Portland have secured clean sheets against the Red Bulls in the last two matches between the clubs. Dating back to 2015, the Timbers have a 225-minute shutout streak versus New York.

6 Defender Liam Ridgewell won all six of his aerial battles against LA in Sunday's match. It was the second time in Ridgewell's career that he won 100 percent of his aerial battles in a single match (min. five aerials).

41 Saturday's match marks a homecoming for Timbers head coach Giovanni Savarese. The first-year Portland man previously coached the New York Cosmos to three championships and played three seasons with the New York/New Jersey MetroStars (now RBNY). With the Red Bulls, Savarese tallied 41 goals for the club, which is the fourth-most in their club's history.

13 Following an assist on Blanco's goal against the Galaxy, forward Fanendo Adi now has 13 career assists for Portland. This gives him the sixth-most assists in the club's MLS era and the 15th-most assists in all eras of the club.
