Ariel Lassiter scores in the 88th minute to lift Portland to victory
PORTLAND, Ore. – Ariel Lassiter scored a game-winning goal in the 88the minute and the Portland Timbers came from a goal down to defeat the Columbus Crew 3-2 in the opening match of the 2026 MLS season Saturday night at Providence Park.
Felipe Mora and Antony also scored for Portland while Diego Chara made his 400th career start setting a record for most starts with a single team in Major League Soccer history.
