Mora, Evander each score for the third-straight match.
PORTLAND, Ore. – Playing down a man for the final 42 minutes, the Portland Timbers battled to a 2-2 draw against Los Angeles FC Sunday afternoon at Providence Park.
Felipe Mora struck early in the first half to put the Timbers ahead, but LAFC responded with an equalizer just 10 minutes later. Evander doubled the Timbers’ score line not long after to send them into halftime with the lead. Just minutes into the second half, Portland goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau was whistled for a foul and given a straight red card, forcing the Timbers to 10 men. LAFC then leveled the match with a free-kick goal, leaving the two sides to split points.
