PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers set a club record for largest margin of victory as Kevin Kelsy earned a brace and added two assists in the team's 6-0 shutout win over Sporting Kansas City Saturday night at Providence Park.

Kristoffer Velde scored and added two assists, Cole Bassett earned his first goal in a Timbers uniform – and added an assist – David Da Costa contributed two helpers plus Ariel Lassiter came off the bench in the second half to tally a goal and an assist in the rout.

Portland's four first-half goals scored within 26 minutes was the fastest period for four scored in the Timbers MLS era and fourth fastest in MLS history.
