A week after clashing in Seattle, the Portland Timbers took the victory in a rematch against Seattle Sounders FC at home Sunday by a 4-2 margin. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match


4Portland flew out of the gates against Sounders FC, scoring four goals in the first 45 minutes of the match. The half was the first time in the team's MLS era that the Timbers had scored four goals in a first half.


7 Forward Fanendo Adi added to his impressive scoring tally against Portland's fiercest rival, notching his seventh career MLS goal against the Sounders. The goal ties the striker with Byron Alvarez for most career goals by a Timbers player against Seattle. 


23 In nine home regular-season matches against Seattle in MLS play, the Timbers have scored 23 total goals. That is most home goals scored by an MLS team against any single opponent since Opta starting tracking MLS stats in 2011.
