#StatMan Three | Larrys Mabiala scored the first goal of his Timbers career in win over NYC

In front of a national television audience, the Portland Timbers beat MLS-leading New York City FC 3-0 Sunday at Providence Park. Here are the three key #StatMan takeaways from the match.

8 The Timbers have never lost at Providence Park against a team that entered the match week alone at the top of the MLS standings. With today's win, Portland is 8-0-3 in the MLS era.

1 Defender Larrys Mabiala scored the first goal of his Timbers when he thumped a header via a Diego Valeri corner kick for Portland's third goal of the match. The former Congolese international is the sixth different Timbers player to score this season and third defender.

2 For the first time in his professional career, Alvas Powell has recorded an assist in two consecutive matches. Coming off an MLS Player of the Week performance, Powell was involved in the buildup to Sebastián Blanco's game-winning goal.
