PORTLAND, Ore. – T2 have signed forward Augustine Williams, it was announced today. Per league and club policy, terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Williams, 19, most recently played for Nomads SC U-17/18 in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy during the 2015-16 season, where he played in 41 games, totaling 20 goals and six assists. Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Williams also played for Juventus Club, based out of Redwood City, Calif., and Alliance F.C. in Hayward, Calif.
Additionally, the club announced it has waived midfielder Akinjide Idowu and forward Alexis Meva.
Idowu was acquired by T2 on Jan. 22, 2016, and appeared in one USL match for the club in 2016. Meva was acquired by T2 on Feb. 22, 2016, and appeared in three USL matches for T2.
