Portland Thorns FC and Your Local Toyota Dealers are partnering to honor difference-makers in the Portland community throughout the 2019 NWSL season. For tonight’s match, we are proud to honor Cindy Miguel. Cindy Miguel has been involved with Special Olympics Oregon for nearly 3 decades. Her energy, leadership and enthusiasm during that time has impacted many lives. Cindy currently serves as a volunteer on the Clackamas County local program management team and is the head coach for track and field. She has spent countless hours over the years working with coaches and athletes to provide sports, health and social opportunities. Cindy’s fundraising efforts have also ensured that athletes in her local program have opportunities to train and compete. You can find her helping at various events – including jumping into the icy Columbia River during Polar Plunge. Special Olympics Oregon is very lucky to have Cindy on our team!
