Joe McFerrin

Joe McFerrin, Sr. has been working for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland Metropolitan area for well over 30 years, starting as staff managing the North Portland Club, then moving into admin on the maintenance team. He now is responsible for keeping all of the Clubs beautiful and ready for the kids.
Joe is the father of Joe McFerrin II, who is the CEO of POIC and Rosemary Anderson. Joe II credits his dad and his time at the Columbia Club for inspiring him to dedicate his career to service underserved youth.
Portland Thorns FC and Your Local Toyota Dealers are partnering to honor difference-makers in the Portland community throughout the 2016 NWSL season. With the goal of honoring those that are most deserving, recipients are nominated by our valued community partners.  Honorees receive tickets, autograph passes and Thorns FC merchandise.  Six (6) Community All-Stars will be recognized during the 2016 season  at the following matches: April 17th vs. Orlando Pride; May 29th vs. Seattle Reign; June 22nd vs. Chicago Red Stars; July 9th vs. FC Kansas City; July 30th vs. Seattle Reign; September 11th vs. Western NY Flash.
