Camp to be held from Oct. 22-29 in Chula Vista, Calif.
Timbers Academy midfielder Ian Smith was selected by U.S. U-16 National Team head coach Ross Brady as part of a U.S. U-16 National Team 24-player roster to take part in a domestic training camp this week.Â
Smith, a native of Tigard, Ore., will head to the camp to be held Oct. 22-29 in Chula Vista, Calif., as part of U.S. Soccer's continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
