Cultural Celebration Nights feature limited edition scarves designed by local artists
The Portland Timbers will play host to a series of five Cultural Celebration Nights at Providence Park as part of their home promotional schedule during the 2026 MLS season.
The series features Black Excellence Night on Feb. 21, AAPI Night on May 9, Pride Night on July 25, Native American Heritage Night on Sept. 19, and Hispanic Heritage Night on Nov. 1. In partnership with Bank of America, each night features a unique scarf designed by an Oregon artist.
The limited-edition scarves are included in special scarf+ticket offers for each night, with only a limited number of scarves available to purchase separately in-stadium through PTFC Authentics.

Black Excellence Night
The Timbers kick off the 2026 season with Black Excellence Night on Saturday, Feb. 21, honoring the strength, talent and legacy of the Black community. The night features a scarf designed by TK Irving, whose work has been exhibited in the Portland Art Museum and featured in public projects including the PDX Window Project and Brooklyn’s Art Break series.

AAPI Night
Asian American and Pacific Islander Night is Saturday, May 9, featuring cultural celebrations and performances at Providence Park. The night’s limited-edition scarf is designed by Pedro Ponce, a Filipino and Mexican American artist, and the scarf design is inspired by Ponce's Filipino roots and connection to Portland.

Pride Night
Following the World Cup break in the MLS calendar, the Timbers host their annual Pride Night on Saturday, July 25. Created by Queer, Transmasc, Vietnamese American artist El Tran, the artwork for the night’s limited edition scarf is centered around visual ways art can fuel positive social and political transformation.

The design pulls visual interest and cues from alternative subcultures, and helps to layer the idea of a rejection of what is “normal”, and what needs to be challenged.
Hispanic Heritage Night
Hispanic Heritage Night takes place Saturday, Sept. 19, during Hispanic Heritage Month, featuring variety of performances and events. The night’s special scarf is designed by Latina illustrator and designer Jessica Paniagua-Rodriguez and is inspired by the beauty within symbolism and textiles of Mexico.

Sunday, Nov. 1, is Native American Heritage Night – and the final home match of the regular season. Contemporary Northwest artist Travis Stewart of Chinook, Rogue River and Kalapuya descent designed the evening’s limited-edition scarf, featuring a pattern of Chinookan paddle blades, unique to the people of the region.

Native American Heritage Night is set for Nov. 1! This special cultural evening's scarf is designed by Travis Stewart, a contemporary Northwest artist of Chinook, Rogue River and Kalapuya descent. The design includes a pattern of chinookan paddle blades that are unique to the people of the region with the upward paddle signifying welcoming and good intentions while the downward position means business.
