Ivacic recorded his second shutout of the regular season

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Timbers goalkeeper Aljaz Ivacic was named to the MLS Team of the Week for week 7, the league announced today.

Ivacic, 28, recorded his second shutout of the season in the Timbers’ scoreless draw against Houston Dynamo FC on April 16 at PNC Stadium. The Ljubljana, Slovenia native is one of two players on the team to have played every minute of the 2022 regular season with eight appearances. Ivacic has recorded 28 saves this season, including a penalty kick save against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on April 9.


The Timbers return to Providence Park to host Real Salt Lake on Saturday, April 23 at 7 p.m. (Pacific). The match will feature a local television broadcast on FOX 12 PLUS and radio broadcasts on 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
