PORTLAND, Ore.
– The Portland Timbers announced today the club will conduct its first annual Father’s Day Fantasy Camp, presented by Nike, on Sunday, June 21 at PGE Park, featuring instruction from Timbers coaches and a full match-day experience.
Designed for adults, the Timbers Nike Father’s Day Fantasy Camp will include a full training session run by Timbers head coach Gavin Wilkinson and assistant coach Amos Magee and a soccer match between camp participants complete with pre-game talk, player introductions, personalized jerseys and the chance to play with current Timbers players. Following the game, the Timbers will host a barbeque in the Widmer Garden at PGE Park.
The camp will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and is open both men and women ages 18 and over of all ability levels. The Timbers Nike Father’s Day Fantasy Camp costs $110. The Timbers’ camps program also includes an extensive youth soccer camps schedule during the 2009 season. The team’s Nike Soccer Camps are designed for kids ages 5-14 at PGE Park and throughout the Portland area.
