How The Wild Card Game Works

• The Wild Card Game is a single-elimination match, contested between the conference's No. 8 (Timbers) and No. 9 (Real Salt Lake) seeds.
• At the end of regulation, if the score is tied, no extra time will be played. There will immediately be a penalty kick shootout to determine the winner.
• The winner advances to the Round One Best-of-3 Series, and will face the Western Conference's No. 1 seed San Diego FC.
