Timbers' Miranda named First Division 'Player of the Week'

PORTLAND, Ore.
- Portland Timbers midfielder-defender Edwin Miranda was honored as the USL First Division’s Player of the Week for Week Two, it was announced today.

Miranda, 24, earns the award for the first time in two professional seasons with the Timbers after collecting two assists in Friday’s 2-2 draw with Minnesota and playing a solid game at defender during Saturday’s 2-1 win at Seattle.
