As part of the team's season-long 50th anniversary celebration, Friday night's Portland Timbers match against the San Jose Earthquakes (7:30pm PT, MLS Season Pass) features a special Spirit of 75 Night, sponsored by Toyota, with the club recognizing members of the team's inaugural North American Soccer League (NASL) squad from 1975.
In their first ever season that year, the Timbers won a Western Division title and earned the most points in the NASL on their way to a Soccer Bowl ’75 appearance.
