PORTLAND, Ore. – T2 return to the Rose City to face Cascadia-rival Seattle Sounders FC 2 at Merlo Field in Portland, Ore. on Monday, June 29; kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (Pacific).


T2 (5-7-2, 17pts) are ninth overall in the Western Conference and have played nine of their 14 USL matches on the road so far this season. T2 have found success at home in the Rose City, posting a winning record (3-2-0) in only five home matches this year. In their last home match, T2 earned a 3-1 win over the Austin Aztex at Merlo Field on June 14. Portland has registered eight goals in five home games in its inaugural season. Forward Kharlton Belmar leads Portland with seven goals through 14 matches and ranks tied for fifth in goals among all USL players. Goalkeeper Jake Gleeson ranks fourth overall in saves with 47 in 12 appearances.


Portland squares off against Seattle Sounders FC 2 (8-5-2, 26pts) for the second time at Merlo Field in the third regular-season meeting between the two clubs this season. In their last meeting, T2 conceded a goal in each half and saw two goals negated due to offside calls in a 2-0 loss against S2 on May 22. Portland will face Seattle once more this season when T2 travel to Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, Wash., on July 24 for their final regular-season match against S2.


Seattle enters Monday’s match following a 1-0 victory over Real Monarchs SLC on June 25 at Starfire Stadium. Seattle has struggled on the road (1-4-2), sustaining their most recent defeat in a 2-1 loss to Arizona United SC on June 20. S2 have scored nine goals in seven games on the road and rank fourth in goals (27) and tied for third in assists (18) among all USL teams through 15 games. S2 forward Andy Craven leads Seattle with five goals this season and ranks tied for fourth in assists (5) among all USL players. 


Following Monday’s match, T2 remain in the Rose City to take on Arizona United SC at Merlo Field in Portland, Ore., on Thursday, July 2; kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (Pacific).


Arizona United SC (6-6-1, 16pts) are seventh overall in the Western Conference and have scored 16 goals through 13 matches. Leading up to the match in Portland, Arizona defeated Real Monarchs SLC 2-1 at Scottsdale Stadium on Saturday. In their first meeting of the year, T2 defeated Arizona United SC 2-0 at Scottsdale Stadium on April 25 with a first-half brace from Kharlton Belmar. Forward Long Tan leads Arizona with seven goals through 13 matches and ranks tied for fifth in goals among all USL players. Goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski ranks second in saves overall (51) and third in saves per game (4.25).
