T2 defender Arturo Diz Pe was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 31 after helping Portland to a 1-0 shutout victory over Phoenix Rising FC at Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex in the regular-season finale on Oct. 13.
Diz Pe recorded four tackles, three interceptions, and nine clearances, while winning 14 of 15 duels overall. Portland registered its 12th shutout, which ranked fifth in the USL during the regular season. In 2018, Diz Pe has made 14 appearances (13 starts), scoring one goal and two assists.
Next up, T2 travel to face Phoenix Rising FC in the first round of the 2018 USL Cup Playoffs on Friday, Oct. 19. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), Friday’s first-round playoff match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
