Timbers defender Tim Karalexis joined the squad following an offseason trade with the Charleston Battery. In the first edition of 2008 Video News, Karalexis opens up on his trip west, initial thoughts of Portland and an early preseason update.
Entering his seventh professional season, Karalexis begins his first season in Portland in 2008. He spent the last three seasons in Charleston, where he accumulated over 60 matches and helped the Battery reach the USL First Division semifinals in 2006. The Weymouth, Mass., native began his professional career in 2002 with the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL Second Division.
