Where In The World: Thorns FC's Amber Brooks tallies assist for Bayern Munich, Alex Morgan scores for USWNT

The U.S. Women's National Team played its second of two friendlies against Mexico on Sept. 18, earning a 4-0 victory over their CONCACAF rivals at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, N.Y. Thorns FC midfielder Tobin Heath earned a start and scored her first goal of 2014 for the red, white and blue as she played the first 45 minutes. Thorns FC forward Alex Morgan tallied her 49th international goal as a second-half substitute and is just one goal away from becoming the 10th U.S. Women's National Team player to score 50 goals.


Next up for the United States the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championships. The United States opens group play in the tournament Oct. 15 in Kansas City, Kan. against Trinidad & Tobago.


Thorns FC midfielder Amber Brooks and Bayern Munich FC earned a 3-0 victory against Hoffenheim on Sept. 21. Brooks tallied the assist, her first of the season, in the 22nd minute. Check out the highlight at 1:18.



Brooks and Bayern continued their strong playing earning a 0-0 draw against reigning league and European champions, VfL Wolfsburg, on Sept. 23. Brooks featured and played all 90 minutes in both of the team’s last two matches. Looks like she is practicing her Geman as well.

Thorns FC defender Steph Catley captained the Melbourne Victory to its first win of the season last weekend with a 5-3 victory against the West Sydney Wanderers.
