PORTLAND, Ore.
– The Portland Timbers are nearing the 500,000 regular-season attendance mark as the team prepares for two games against 2007 USL First Division expansion clubs, the California Victory and Carolina Railhawks, this weekend at PGE Park. Since 2001, the Timbers have had 494,468 fans attend regular-season matches at PGE Park.
In 2007, the Timbers have drawn 16,568 fans for three regular-season matches and in total have had 24,329 fans visit PGE Park for Timbers matches this season.
The Timbers face the California Victory (0-2-1, 1pt) Friday at PGE Park at 7 p.m. The first 1,000 fans receive a Timbers team photo.
On Sunday, the Timbers play host to the Carolina Railhawks (2-2-3, 9pts) at PGE Park for Bark in the Park. The first 250 dogs in attendance will receive a dog bowl courtesy of Fred Meyer. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
