Forward Matt Taylor, who recently earned USL First Division Team of the Week honors, talks about settling into Portland, finding his stride on offense and how this Timbers squad still has much to prove down the stretch in Video News.
Taylor recorded a goal and an assist against the Minnesota Thunder on Aug. 16 to help the Timbers clinch a 2007 playoff spot in a 2-2 draw.
The Timbers play host to the Charleston Battery in their regular-season home finale on Jersey-Off-Our-Back Night on Thursday at PGE Park. Fans have opportunity to take home their favorite Timbers player jersey through a silent auction held before and during the game. Proceeds from the second-annual auction will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The first 2,000 fans on a Miller Lite Thursday presented by Jammin’ 95.5 will receive a Timbers cap courtesy of Volkswagen. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
