Timbers face Pilots in third preseason event

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers announced today the club will face the University of Portland Pilots in a preseason match April 11 at the Clive Charles Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the Timbers’ third preseason event are $7 for adults and $5 for youths 18 and under. Beginning March 24 at 11 a.m., tickets are available through the UP box office, area Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (503) 224-4400.
The Timbers’ 2008 roster features three University of Portland alumni in midfielders
Andrew Gregor
(1994-97) and
Miguel Guante
(2002-05), and forward
Chris Brown
(1995-98).
The Timbers’ 2008 preseason schedule includes two additional exhibition matches in the greater-Portland area. On March 28, the Timbers face Major League Soccer’s San Jose Earthquakes at UP’s Clive Charles Soccer Complex at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, starting at $10, are also available through the UP box office and Ticketmaster.
The Timbers then face Gonzaga University on March 30 at Lincoln Park Stadium near the campus of Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children 18 and under. Starting at 11 a.m., tickets will be available at the Lincoln Park Stadium ticket window only on the day of the event.  
The Timbers open the 2008 USL First Division campaign April 17 against the Puerto Rico Islanders at PGE Park. Season tickets, starting at $142.50, are currently available by contacting the Timbers ticket office at (503) 553-5555. Individual-game tickets for the 2008 regular season will be available through the PGE Park box office and Ticketmaster starting March 15.
