Morelia training session on Wed. open to public

PORTLAND

Mexican club Monarcas Morelia will conduct a training session open to the public on Wednesday, July 2, at the Mount Hood Community College stadium from 5:30-7 p.m. as they prepare for an exhibition match against the Timbers on Thursday at PGE Park.
On of the top teams in Mexico, Morelia begins its preseason tour of the Northwest in Portland in preparation of the 2008 Apertura schedule.

Morelia’s preseason roster includes its first-team players and features Mexican National Team members in goalkeeper Moises Muños and defender Omar Trujillo. Muños, 28, has eight caps at the international level and was held back from the 2006 World Cup roster because of an injury. He is one of several players to watch as Mexico continues its qualification for the 2010 World Cup tournament. Trujillo, Morelia’s team captain, was recently called up for a friendly between Mexico and China in April in Seattle.
