BROWN SELECTED TO USL FIRST DIVISION TEAM OF THE WEEK
United Soccer Leagues today named Timbers forward Chris Brown to the USL First Division Team of the Week for Week 11. On the Timbers’ road trip through Carolina and Atlanta over the weekend, Brown started both matches at the midfield position and scored a goal, his fifth of the season, in the team’s 2-0 shutout win over the Silverbacks on June 28. It's his second Team of the Week selection this season. Brown’s goal was originally credited as an own goal by Atlanta; however the league has overturned the decision and awarded Brown the goal.
