Timbers visit Seattle for exhibition against Morelia

PORTLAND

The Portland Timbers face Monarcas Morelia of Mexico’s top-tier Primera Division in a special exhibition match on Sunday in Seattle, Wash., at Memorial Stadium at 6 p.m.

, Morelia visits Seattle while on a three-match preseason tour of the United States. Morelia is a member of Mexico’s top-tier Primera División and competes against well-known clubs Chivas de Guadalajara and Cruz Azul.
Tickets are $20 and are available at the door as well as through local stores.

The Timbers return home on Thursday, July 10 to face the Puerto Rico Islanders at PGE Park at 7 p.m. on Latino Night presented by Cricket Wireless and a Miller Lite Thursday. The first 1,000 fans receive a 2008 Timbers team poster. Tickets, starting at $11, are available through the PGE Park box office and Ticketmaster.
