PORTLAND, Ore.

was one of several members of the Portland Timbers’ 2008 squad in action with Major League Soccer sides over the weekend. Griffin suited up for the Los Angeles Galaxy’s Reserve Division match against Colorado on Sunday.
Griffin, who appeared in 29 matches for the Timbers in 2008, entered the Galaxy’s Reserve Division match on Sunday as a substitute in the 61st minute. The Colorado Rapids Reserves found the back of the net late in the second half to record a 1-0 win.
Joining Griffin in the lineup for Los Angeles’ Reserve squad on Sunday was defender

(2007) and defender

(2006).
Also in action last weekend was forward
Bryan Jordan
, who earned his third start with the Galaxy and recorded two shots in the club’s 3-2 win over the Rapids on Sunday. In three different loan spells with the Timbers in 2008, Jordan recorded three goals and two assists in nine matches.
Goalkeepers
Ray Burse
and

, who were both loaned to the Timbers during the 2008 season, each served as the backup for their respective MLS sides over the weekend. Burse started 13 matches for the Timbers while on loan from FC Dallas and Knighton played in eight matches for Portland during his loan assignment from the New England Revolution.
