The Timbers' soccer camps season is around the corner. In 2009, the Timbers will conduct variety of camps for players both young and old. In addition to nine youth camps, the Timbers will also host the Nike Father’s Day Fantasy Camp on June 21.
The camp season begins on June 21 with the Nike Father’s Day Fantasy Camp at PGE Park. Designed for adults 18 and over, this camp includes a training session with Timbers head coach Gavin Wilkinson and assistant coach Amos Magee as well as a match-day experience complete with pre-game talk, player introductions, a match between camp participants and much more. The Timbers Nike Soccer Camps schedule for youth features nine camps for children 5-14 years old at locations throughout the Portland area, including PGE Park. In addition to the club’s standard camps, featuring instruction from Timbers players and coaches and a new camps program, the 2009 camps schedule is highlighted by the first annual residency camp and a variety of specialty camps, including a new goalkeeping academy.
