The Portland Timbers will conduct its first annual Father’s Day Fantasy Camp, presented by Nike, on Sunday, June 21 at PGE Park, featuring instruction from Timbers coaches and a full match-day experience. The deadline for registrations has been extended to Wednesday, June 17.
Designed for adults, the Timbers Nike Father’s Day Fantasy Camp will include a full training session run by Timbers head coach Gavin Wilkinson and assistant coach Amos Magee and a soccer match between camp participants complete with pre-game talk, player introductions, personalized jerseys and the chance to play with current Timbers players. Following the game, the Timbers will host a barbeque in the Widmer Garden at PGE Park.
The camp will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and is open both men and women ages 18 and over of all ability levels. The Timbers Nike Father’s Day Fantasy Camp costs $110. The Timbers’ camps program also includes an extensive youth soccer camps schedule during the 2009 season. The team’s Nike Soccer Camps are designed for kids ages 5-14 at PGE Park and throughout the Portland area.
