Meet Timbers defenders

Hayes, a 10-year veteran, has helped anchor the Timbers defense that leads the league in fewest goals allowed this season. In July, Hayes played in his 250th career game in the USL First Division, joining the league’s all-time leaders in games played. He ranks among team and league leaders with five assists on the season.
Danso enters his rookie season with the Timbers in 2009. He enjoyed a standout college career at Southern Polytechnic State University, where he became the school’s first All American in 2008. He played the 2008 Premier Development League season with the Cary Clarets.
