Construction crews took only a brief pause this week to mark the
official groundbreaking
and visit from
MLS Commissioner Don Garber
before jumping back into the fray. While deconstruction continues at various spots around the stadium, this week proved exciting as the first brand new structures started to come into place. Forms along the southwest corner were erected via crane, clamps, and hammering early this week and by Friday, cement was being poured in to create new structural walls. Rubble continued to be jackahammered, broken down, and trucked out but as you can see in
