PORTLAND, Ore.— The Portland Timbers today announced that the team has surpassed 12,000 season tickets sold for its inaugural Major League Soccer season in 2011. Due to demand, the team has opened up an additional 500 seats for season ticket sales and has established a hard cap of 12,500 for the team’s first MLS season. A waiting list will be established once the 12,500 figure is met.
Additionally, the team announced that half-season plans are nearing sold-out status.
At this time, season tickets in 50 different seating sections are sold out for the inaugural MLS season. The sold-out seating sections include all five KeyBank Club sections (C1-C5), Sections 92-94, 96-98, SD1-SD6, 109-121, 123, 209-211, 222-223 and all of the View Terrace and Value Terrace sections.
Seating availability in Sections 95, 99, 122, 217-220 is limited, with 95 percent or more of the majority of those sections sold at this time. Fewer than 125 season tickets remain in the Timbers Army sections (101-108, 201-208).
