MLSsoccer.com's Simon Borg takes a look at some of the fun side notes, curious developments, and interesting observations from the busy SuperDraft day in Kansas City.
Among them is a very touching hug between Timbers first round draft choice Andrew Jean-Baptiste and his mother as well as a quick discussion with Timbers general manager Gavin Wilkinson on finding a striker, "“with the ambition that when we bring him in, it’s 12, 14 to 16 goals.”
Other subjects look at why none of the international Combine invitees were drafted, how one draft pick almost tripped going up the stairs to the stage, surprise selections and more.
