Thorns FC announce season ticket details for inaugural 2013 season

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Thorns FC announced today season ticket details for the inaugural 2013 National Women’s Soccer League campaign.

All regular-season matches are tentatively scheduled to be played at JELD-WEN Field, with season ticket prices throughout the stadium’s lower bowl set at $9 per game for general admission, $15 for touchline reserved seats and $22 for club seats, respectively. 

Current Portland Timbers season ticket holders have first priority in purchasing Thorns FC season tickets, while fans on the Timbers Season Ticket Waiting List maintain second priority, and those who have submitted a refundable $25 deposit for Thorns FC season tickets have the third priority followed by the general public.

Current Timbers season ticket holders that have indicated an interest have been given appointment times beginning Friday, January 25, to purchase season tickets. Season Ticket Waiting List members who have indicated an interest will be given appointment times beginning February 19. Those who have placed a $25 deposit will be contacted by a Thorns FC ticket representative for appointment details.

Thorns FC already feature a host of standout players as the club continues building its roster for its inaugural 2013 season. The roster features forward Alex Morgan -- a finalist for the 2012 FIFA Ballon d’Or given to the top soccer player in the world – midfielder Tobin Heath and defender Rachel Buehler from the U.S. Women’s National Team. The roster also includes standout forward Christine Sinclair and Karina LeBlanc from the Canadian Women’s National Team and defenders Marlene Sandoval and Luz Saucedo from the Mexican National Team.

Additionally, Thorns FC recently participated in their first college draft, choosing defender Kathryn Williamson (Florida), forward/midfielder Nicolette Radovcic (Central Florida), midfielder Amber Brooks (North Carolina) and goalkeeper Roxanne Barker (Pepperdine).
