MLS partners with EA Sports to give fans a chance to vote for an All-Star forward via FIFA Soccer 13

Darlington Nagbe 2013 MLS All-Star

Online fan ballots may have already closed for the 2013 AT&T MLS All-Star Game, but there's still a way to get your favorite forward onto the roster to face AS Roma on July 31 at Sporting Park.

How about via video game?

In a first for a professional sports league, MLS and Electronic Arts on Wednesday unveiled the "In the Game" Challenge in which fans can vote one forward into the All-Star Game by scoring goals in EA Sports FIFA 13.

Through July 10 at noon ET, fans can log votes for their favorite MLS All-Star forward candidates by simply scoring goals on FIFA 13. It's one vote for each goal. Click here to find out the specific game modes to make your goals count.

The player who wins the vote on July 10 will claim the final forward spot on the All-Star fan XI. The other 10 players, who were voted in via online, text and Twitter ballots, will be unveiled on July 7 at halftime of the ESPN broadcast of Chicago Fire vs. Sporting Kansas City (Noon PT, ESPN).
