PORTLAND, Ore. – T2 will travel to face fellow USL expansion side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday, May 9, at Sand Creek Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.; kickoff is set for 6 p.m. (Pacific).


T2 (3-3-1, 10pts) are tied for fourth place overall in the Western Conference and have scored nine goals in seven games this season. In their last match, T2 conceded twice in the first half to Orange County Blues FC and were unable to get back on level terms in a 2-0 loss on May 3 at Providence Park. ForwardKharlton Belmar has scored five goals through seven matches and ranks tied for second in goals among all USL players. The Virginia Beach, Va., native also ranks fourth overall in points with 10.



Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (3-3-0, 9pts) enter Saturday’s match following a 3-2 road win against Arizona United SC on May 2. Colorado Springs played the final 19 minutes of the match with nine men after defender Josh Phillips became the second Switchbacks FC player to be ejected following a second yellow card in the 71st minute. Midfielder Luke Vercollone has led the way for Switchbacks FC, registering three goals and three assists through six games played. Forward Mike Seth has also tallied three goals in five matches.

Following Saturday’s match, T2 continue on the road to face Real Monarchs SLC at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah, on Saturday, May 16; kickoff is set for 6 p.m. (Pacific). The match against Real Monarchs SLC marks the third meeting between the two expansion clubs this season. T2 earned a 3-1 win over Real Monarchs on March 29 at Merlo Field in Portland and a 1-1 draw at Rio Tinto Stadium on April 18.
