Stand Together Week 2015 Social Recap | June 8, 2015

Stand Together Week 2015 kicked off the right way on Monday, with an opening series of events all around the Portland area.
The Sunshine Division played host to Timber Joey and Thorns FC player Emily Kruger. Volunteers sorted food, built emergency boxes and stocked shelves.
PlayWorks! hosted an event at Sifton Elementary in Vancouver with Timber Joey and
Adam Kwarasey
to create a safe and inclusive playground presence. Volunteers participated in active role modeling to encourage healthy play and conflict resolution.


At the Portland Children's Museum, Timber Joey,
Diego Valeri
,
Santiago Biglieri
and
Rundell Winchester
helped spruce up the back yard, moving gravel, bark mulch and doing general landscaping to help make the natural areas of the museum sparkle.
AC Portland held and event with
Nat Borchers
,
Jake Gleeson
and Kharlton
Belmar at Lincoln
Park Elementary to organize a day of soccer to teach kids how to play the beautiful game.


Finally, Friend of Trees and the City of Tualitin were joined by Timber Joey,
Mana Shim
,
Andy Thoma
,
Rennico Clarke
and
Seth Casiple
to remove invasive English Ivy from Little Woodrose Park.
