Quick Strikes by Simple | Portland Timbers vs. Houston Dynamo - June 20, 2015

Quick Strikes, Timbers vs. Houston, 6.20.15

After a weekend off from league play, the Timbers return to Providence Park to match up with the Houston Dynamo (7:30 pm PT, KPTV). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvHOU in the latest Quick Strikes by Simple.

21 For the first time since joining MLS and for the 21st time in the history of the Portland Timbers as a professional franchise, the club has won three consecutive league matches. In 12 of the previous 20 occasions, Portland was able to extend that streak to four matches.

275 Portland has not conceded a home goal in its last 275 minutes of play, dating back to April 12. The Timbers have held their opponent scoreless in four of the seven matches at Providence Park in 2015, which is tied for the third most home shutouts in MLS.

14 Along with a prevalence for shutting out opponents at home, the Timbers have been able to protect their goal with some of the best in MLS. Only two teams have given up fewer goals than the 14 conceded by the Timbers this year in their 15 league games.

+50 In 2015, no team has a higher foul discrepancy than the Timbers. Portland has suffered 50 more fouls than they have conceded this season. And for the season, no individual player has been fouled more in MLS than Darlington Nagbe, who has been fouled 45 times.

15 After another brace in the club's last MLS match, Fanendo Adi is up to 15 goals since his first game on May 17, 2014. The Nigerian forward, who scored in Portland's last match against Houston, has the seventh-most goals of any MLS player since his debut.
