Darlington Nagbe finishes 2016 U.S. Men's National Team January Camp with a 1-0 win over Canada

Portland Timbers midfielder Darlington Nagbe made his fourth career appearance Friday for the U.S. Men's National Team as the Americans beat Canada 1-0 in a friendly at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. It was Nagbe's second straight appearance for the USMNT and second straight game in a row where he entered in the 61st minute.


Two minutes into his time on the pitch, Nagbe cut in from the left with the ball, took on a Canadian player and hammered a a dangerous shot that was blocked away by a defender. He continued throughout his 29 minutes to link play in the midfield and bring the attack forward.


The U.S., who outshot the Canadians 17-4, found a goal late in the 89th minute when midfielder Ethan Finlay served in a perfect cross to the back post which forward Jozy Altidore headed in for the game-winner.
