#StatMan Three | Diego Chara hit a season high with eight tackles against the Fire

The Portland Timbers and the Chicago Fire played to a 1-1 draw Saturday evening at Toyota Park, maintaining Portland's all-time undefeated record against the Fire. Here are the three #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


28Diego Valeri scored the 28th regular season goal of his Portland career, moving him into a tie for the seventh-most goals ever by a Timbers player. Valeri is one of two players to have at least 28 goals and 28 assists for the Timbers, joining John Bain. 


14 Portland has scored in all 14 games it has played this season, which is the most consecutive matches the club has ever scored in to start a season. The Timbers are just the fifth MLS team in the non-shootout era of MLS (2000 to present) to score in each of its first 14 games.


8 Midfielder Diego Chara notched a season high for tackles in a match with eight. It was the most tackles Chara has had in a match since Aug. 17, 2014.
