Quick Strikes | Five numbers that get inside the Timbers-Impact match

The Portland Timbers look to extend their seven-game unbeaten streak when the club takes on the Montreal Impact on Wednesday night at Providence Park (7:30pm PT, ROOT SPORTS). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvMTL in the latest Quick Strikes.

38 Since Caleb Porter's debut as Timbers head coach at the beginning of the 2013 season, Portland has recorded 38 shutouts in regular-season matches. Only Sporting Kansas City has more in that timespan with 39.

7 The Timbers have the second-longest active unbeaten run in the league. They have also posted two straight shutouts and three clean sheets in their last five games

68Midfielder Diego Chara leads the club with 68 tackles (second in MLS) while defender Zarek Valentin has 51 tackles for the season, which is the 11th highest total in the league respectively. The Timbers are one of only two MLS teams with multiple players with 50 or more tackles in 2016, along with Sporting Kansas City.

3 With a strong performance in a scoreless draw against the New York Red Bulls on Sunday, goalkeeper Jake Gleeson was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 18. Gleeson has been named to the Team of the Week on three different occasions this season, which is the most of any Timbers player.

1,222 The last time Montreal played at Providence Park was on March 9, 2013, meaning it will be 1,222 days between matches when the teams square off Wednesday. Portland has played 58 home regular-season matches since the last time it hosted the Impact.
