#StatMan Three | Jack Jewsbury and Ned Grabavoy set appearance milestones in match

The Portland Timbers lost a tightly-played match 1-0 to the Colorado Rapids Saturday night. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


350 With his start Saturday, midfielder Jack Jewsbury became the 10th player in MLS history to play at least 350 regular-season matches. The veteran of 14 MLS seasons will retire at the conclusion of the 2016 season. 


300 Midfielder Ned Grabavoy made his 300th appearance in an MLS match, becoming the 39th player to hit the 300 games played mark. Grabavoy is one of three Timbers players with 300-plus MLS matches, joining Jewsbury and defender Nat Borchers.


3 MidfielderDiego Valeri put a shot past Colorado goalkeeper Tim Howard in the 36th minute, only to be denied by the far post. It is the third time Portland has hit one of the posts at Dick's Sporting Goods Park this season, which exceeds the number of times the club has hit the posts (2) at Providence Park in 2016.
