Four Thorns FC players named to U.S. Women's National Team training camp roster for April friendlies

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC midfielders Tobin Heath, Lindsey Horan and Allie Long, and defender Meghan Klingenberg have been named to the 24-player U.S. Women’s National Team roster ahead of two friendlies against Russia on April 6 and April 9.


The U.S. WNT plays host to Russia on April 6 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas at 5:30 p.m. (Pacific) on FS1 before traveling to Houston for the second meeting between the two teams at BBVA Compass Stadium on April 9. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. (Pacific) on ESPN.


Heath (131 caps), Horan (33 caps), Long (23 caps) and Klingenberg (70 caps) were all in training camp ahead of the 2017 SheBelieves Cup. Heath, Horan and Long each made three appearances during the tournament for the United States.


The group will return to Portland ahead of the team’s NWSL home opener at Providence Park on Saturday, April 15, against the Orlando Pride.
